Welcome to Harvard Elementary! We are so excited for this upcoming school year.
We are looking forward to working together with you in order to make sure students work hard to maximize their academic and social potential. We will continue to promote and recognize characteristics like perseverance, teamwork, citizenship, and hard work. Through daily positive recognition, our Principal’s 200 Club, and Excellence Assemblies, we will celebrate our students’ achievements and commitment to learning. We have high expectations for all students and believe that everyone can learn more everyday by giving their best effort. We will strive for excellence when it comes to teaching and learning!

Dual Language

We are now in our second year of our Dual Language program at Harvard Elementary. We have two classes of kindergarteners and two classes of first graders. Our Dual Language program provides students with the opportunity to become bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish and English by the time they leave Harvard in fifth grade. Our Dual Language students will be able to speak, read, and write in two languages! We hold all of our students to the expectation that they will achieve high levels of academic success. Our Dual Language program provides an additional way to increase the rigor of our students’ learning. As we implement this program, we will also be focusing on cross-cultural and sociocultural competence throughout our school in order to best prepare our students for the next steps in their education and life. If you have any questions regarding our Dual Language program, please contact the office at 253-298-4100.
