Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program designed to encourage students to read quality literature. The program is intended for students in 3rd through 5th grade.  In order to qualify for the Battle of the Books, students must read  a minimum number of books and pass the AR test as well.  At the end of the year, all qualified students come together in teams to test their knowledge of the books they have read. During the "Battle,"  students collaborate with their teammates to correctly answer questions and earn the most points.  At the end of the 35 question Battle, the team with the most points is declared the winner.
